Challenge

Skipass Travel from Kranjska Gora has been selling discounted ski passes for nearby resorts in Austria and Italy for more than 25 years. The old site was built around news posts and seasonal price lists, so visitors struggled to see how to get a pass and which resort suited them.

Buying involves a personal keycard, a separate online shop and two branches. That process had to be clear from the first screen, including on phones, because many skiers decide just before they set off.

Goal: Let a skier choose a resort, understand how buying works and order a keycard within minutes, without calling a branch.

Solution

The home page answers the main question straight away with two routes: “Order a keycard” and “How do I buy passes?”. Buying is explained in four numbered steps, from ordering the keycard to going straight to the lift and skipping the ticket office.

Ski resorts get their own overview with a country filter, a card or map view and a price page for each resort. Visitors who are not sure where to go can use the guided “Help me choose” option.

The site is in Slovenian and English. Price lists, groups and schools, equipment rental, e-bikes, car rental and the hotel each have their own page, and both branches show their address, phone number and opening hours on every page.

What the redesigned site includes

  • Buying in four steps

Ordering the keycard, delivery or pick-up, buying in the online shop and heading straight to the lift — all explained in one place.

  • Nine ski resorts on a map

Austria and Italy with a country filter, a card or map view and prices for each resort.

  • Guided choice

“Help me choose” takes visitors who don’t yet know where to go to a suitable resort.

  • Prices and groups

Multi-day and season passes, school ski days, and school and organised groups, each on its own page.

  • Two languages

Slovenian and English with hreflang tags, since buyers include holidaymakers staying in Kranjska Gora.

  • Structured data

The business is described as a travel agency with branches, opening hours and ski resorts, so Google and AI search tools understand it correctly.

Result

From the first screen, visitors can see what Skipass Travel offers and how to buy a pass. They choose a resort on the map or through the guided choice and order a keycard from the same page.

The old site, full of news posts and seasonal buttons, has been replaced by a structure that follows the buying process: choose a resort, get a keycard, buy in the online shop, go to the lift.
