Is it worth having my own website alongside Booking?
Yes — portals bring new guests, while your own site is the channel for direct, commission-free bookings and returning guests. The combination works best.
For tourism providers
Every booking through a portal costs you a commission. Your own website is the channel where guests book directly with you — and keep coming back.
Booking, Airbnb and similar portals are a great source of guests — but they take 15 to 25 percent of every reservation. At a hundred nights a year, that's an amount that would cover building and running your own website for years.
More importantly: a guest who finds you on a portal often looks up your website before booking. If there isn't one — or it looks neglected — they book through the portal or with your neighbour. If they land on a tidy site with a gallery, prices and a simple enquiry form, they book directly.
The basic path to a booking is an enquiry form with click-to-call — simple, and guests happily use it. When you want to go a step further, we integrate the Bentral reservation system: guests see the availability calendar and book directly on your website, while availability syncs automatically with Booking.com and Airbnb — no double bookings and no manual calendar juggling.
For guests who prefer booking through portals, we also place direct links to your Booking and Airbnb profiles — the site covers both paths, and you pay commission only where it's truly needed.
Tip: Accommodation units with lists of amenities and bed types are handled by the Accommodation module (€390 + VAT), and the connection to Bentral by the plugin of the same name (€190 + VAT, one-off). All modules and plugins with prices
We come from Upper Gorenjska — a region that lives off tourism. We've built websites for apartments, mountain lodges and tourism providers at home and abroad, so we know what guests look for and what drives them away.
You edit the price list, galleries, descriptions and special offers yourself through our BlocCMS system — a seasonal price change takes a minute, no developer needed. The site is multilingual, and you manage all languages in one place.
A presentation website for holiday accommodation starts at €590 + VAT. For a lower upfront cost you can rent it from €39/month — with hosting, domain and maintenance included, which is especially convenient for seasonal providers.
