Terms of business

1. General provisions
These general terms govern the business relationship between the provider GE-KO, Maja Dolžan s.p., Cesta Toneta Tomšiča 71, 4270 Jesenice, Slovenia (the Provider) and the client ordering website development, e-commerce, graphic design, hosting or maintenance services.
2. Orders and quotes
Services are ordered by written confirmation of a quote (by email or post). Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise. The scope of work is defined in the quote; additional requests are charged according to the current price list.
3. Payment terms
Upon confirming the quote, the client pays a 50% advance; the balance is due upon delivery or launch. Hosting and maintenance are invoiced annually in advance. Statutory default interest applies to late payments.
4. Website or online store rental
The rental service is concluded for a period of 24 months (term). The monthly rental fee for a website includes development, hosting, the domain (if managed by the provider), an SSL certificate, basic technical maintenance and basic technical support. The monthly rental fee for an online store built on the Shopify platform includes setup, design customisation, technical support and minor monthly changes; the Shopify platform subscription and payment processing fees are not part of the rental and are paid by the client directly to the platform provider. The Shopify account is registered to the client. After the 24-month period expires, rental payments end and the website or store remains with the client. For the continued operation of a website, the client pays only hosting (€60 + VAT per year) and domain renewal (€16 + VAT per year, if managed by the provider); technical maintenance may be continued as an optional service at the current price list (€35 + VAT per month). The stated prices are subject to change — current prices are published on the website, and further information is available at info@ge-ko.si. In the event of early termination of the rental by the client, all remaining monthly rental fees until the end of the 24-month term become due, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
5. Delivery and deadlines
Deadlines are defined in the quote and start once the client delivers all required materials (copy, images, credentials). Delays in delivering materials extend the deadline proportionally. The Provider enables the client to review and approve the work before launch.
6. Copyright
Upon full payment, the client acquires the right to use the delivered website or graphic products for their business. The Provider reserves the right to list the project (name and link) in its portfolio unless agreed otherwise.
7. Client responsibility for content
The client warrants that they hold the appropriate rights to all materials (copy, photos, logos) submitted for publication and assumes full responsibility for their content.
8. Data protection
The Provider processes the client's personal data solely for the purpose of delivering services and communication, in accordance with applicable legislation (GDPR). Data is not shared with third parties without the client's consent.
9. Complaints and disputes
The Provider remedies any defects within a reasonable time after receiving a written complaint. The parties strive to resolve disputes amicably; otherwise the competent court is the court at the Provider's registered office.

11. Cookies
This website uses essential cookies required for operation (session, your saved cookie choice "geko_consent") and — only with your consent — Google Analytics 4 analytics cookies via Google Tag Manager (_ga and _ga_* cookies; stored up to 2 years; purpose: anonymous visit statistics). Also only with your consent, we use the OpenAI Pixel marketing tool (purpose: measuring the effectiveness of ads in OpenAI services such as ChatGPT; the data controller on the tool's side is OpenAI, retention according to its privacy policy). Analytics and marketing tools do not load without consent (Google Consent Mode v2). You can change your choice anytime by deleting the geko_consent cookie in your browser; the banner will reappear on your next visit. For basic visit statistics we use our own cookie-free page-view counting on our server: we store the page visited, the source of the visit (referring domain, UTM parameters), the device and browser type, and an anonymous identifier derived from the IP address and browser that changes every day. We do not store the IP address and do not share the data with third parties. Detailed records are kept for 6 months, after which only aggregate figures remain. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, no identifier is calculated. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
12. Privacy of the enquiry form
Data entered in the enquiry form (name, email, phone, project description) is used solely to prepare a quote and communicate with you. It is stored on this website's server and never shared with third parties. To have your data deleted, write to info@ge-ko.si.
