Rebuilding ge-ko.si: a perfect 100

Challenge

Our domain carries years of history and rankings, but the old site no longer reflected what we do. The rebuild had to replace the entire structure without losing a single Google position — every old address had to lead to its new home through a permanent redirect.

At the same time we set ourselves the strictest measure in the industry: an agency's own site has to be its shop window. The goal was not a "good result" but a perfect 100 on Google's measurement — on phone and on desktop — and a site AI search can read without obstacles.

Goal: Keep the rankings of a domain registered in 2014, make the site fast and accessible and prepare it for AI search — without a database or heavy plugins.

Solution

The site runs on our own BlocCMS: content lives in simple files with no database, which means fewer moving parts, better security and remarkable speed even on ordinary shared hosting.

We catalogued every old address and connected each one to its new location with a permanent (301) redirect — a single hop, no chains. Fonts are self-hosted, images are WebP in several sizes, and the critical styling loads with the page itself. WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and structured data are built into every template.
